Why Alexandria?

The city of Alexandria was founded in Egypt near the year 330 B.C.

Soon after, 23 additional cities were founded or renamed as Alexandria.

These cities stretched from Greece to the west all the way to the Himalayas on the east, and everywhere in between.

This chain represented nearly the entire world at the time and many of these cities still exist today. The modern city of Alexandria in Virginia was named after that original city in Egypt.

These were the creation Alexander the Great, whom I was named after. When I started buying real estate I named my portfolio with the appropriate namesake, Alexandria Properties

When I started raising equity and expanding my investments I followed the same path as Alexander when he kept the same name for all his cities, hence Alexandria Capital.
